He was born in Baki city on the 18th of March, 1961. He finished school # 39 in Narimanov district of Baki city in 1978. Rafiq was called for military service by Narimanov district Military Commissariat in 1979. He entered Baku State University after being demobilized from Armored Forces in 1981. He was appointed as an engineer at Water Management Institute after he graduated from the University in 1987. He was called to join the Army as an officer by Sabayil district Military Commissariat in 1992. Rafiq proved himself as a true officer since the first days he arrived at the front and gained great respect of his battle friends. Therefore he was soon appointed as a Chief of the Headquarters of Tank Units. He took an active part in releasing several villages Aghdara region from armenian invasion. He showed great courage in all the battles as a true officer. The last battle of the head lieutenant R. Nasraddinov took place in Gizilgaya village of Aghdara region on the 6th of September, 1992. In this unequal battle he fought till his last breath and gave his life in defense of the Motherland.

He was married and survived by two daughters.

Nasraddinova Rafiq Huseyn was posthumously awarded the title of the “National Hero of Azerbaijan” by the decree # 203 of the president of Azerbaijani republic on the 16th of September, 1994.

He was buried in the Alley of Martyrs in Baki city. School # 39 where he once studied is named after the hero and there is also a bust of him at the school. There is a memorial plaque of him in front of the building where he used to live.
